My Abstract Painting “Fire & Ice” Debuts at the Rochester Public Library Expo

The exhibition and workshop was a mega success!  I had a great time hosting an exciting paint workshop at the Rochester Central Public Library.   I walked the class through a demonstration on abstract painting with palette knives and color combinations.  The session was step-by-step for everyone to follow along.  Live painting can sometimes present a challenge, but the quiet, chill vibe of the library really put me at ease and made it a calmer experience.  I spend a lot of time at this library on my time off,  so I was very in my element here, and the staff showed so much support.

My series of four paintings were displayed in the nearby Central Link Gallery during the demo. For these paintings, I mixed acrylic paint with alcohol ink to make the colors really pop.  Alcohol ink is really good for that, especially when working with vibrant colors.
